Pedicure at home in 5 easy steps
Step 1 – Trimming the nails
The first phase of the pedicure at home process is removing the old nail polish from your nails by using nail polish remover. Now cut your nails using a nail cutter and then file your nails to give them shape. Some people trim their nails after soaking, but nails become very softer after soaking. Remember one thing, always cut your toenails straight across. Do not cut the corners deeply; it can cause painful ingrown nails.

Step 2 – Soak your feet
The most interesting part of the pedicure is soaking cause it is excellent to make you feel relax. Take some warm water in a tub or foot basin and then add few drops of foot wash & essential oil into it. You can even add bath salt & lemon juice to it for the better result. Now soak your feet up to your ankle for 15 – 20 minutes. Soaking makes your feet & heel soft and reduces dryness, roughness, soreness, etc.
Step 3 – Exfoliation
Now, the important part of the pedicure at home is exfoliation because it is helpful to remove dry, rough, dead skin cells from the feet. If you do not remove its time to time, then it will make your feet harder, drier and cracked. For exfoliation, first apply some cuticle cream on your toenails and leave it for few minutes. Meanwhile, take a pumice stone or a right foot file and scrub your entire feet gently especially your heel area. After scrubbing your feet, remove the cuticle cream and scrub the toenail with a help of a nail scrubber. When you are done with scrubbing clean & wipe your feet with a towel.
Step 4 – Moisturizing
Never forget to moisturize your feet after scrubbing because moisturizer makes your feet soft, nourish and hydrated. Take some foot cream or lotion, or moisturizer and apply it on your entire feet. It is very necessary to use moisturizer for your feet if you have cracked heel/feet.

The pedicure at home process will not be complete without decorating the nails. Soak some cotton in the nail polish remover and remove the excess cream or lotion from the nails. Now push the cuticles gently with the help of a cuticle pusher. Finally, apply your favorite nail polish and you are done. Enjoy your beautiful feet.
